Khalpara Training Centre

Apart from the Vocational Training Centres in Damoh from where we began our work. We also serve in North East India in Siliguri, West Bengal. Here we have two Vocational Training Centres.

The Khalpara Training Centre in Siliguri city is located in the Khalpara area where women who have been victims of sex-trafficking undergo Sewing, embroidery and artificial jewellery making training for 6 to 9 months. The training centre sits next to the brothel area and serves as a gateway for these women towards a dignified life.

The other Vocational Training is in Goshpukur (Kantivita) village which is about 25 kms away from Siliguri city. This training centre serves to women who work as labourers in tea garden. Employment in tea gardens is very unstable and thus these women are highly susceptible to trafficking. Unlike the Khalapra Training Centre the focus of this training programme is to empower ladies to become self-dependent, this is a preventive approach to fight trafficking at is roots. Here women learn to stitch female clothing and artificial jewellery making.

खालपारा ट्रेनिंग सेन्टर सिलीगुड़ी -

यह सेन्टर एक ऐसे इलाके में स्थित है जहां यौन शोषण की शिकार रह चुकीं अनेक महिलाएं पायी जाती हैं। हम उनको इस दुर्भाग्यपूर्ण परिस्थिति से बाहर निकल कर एक नया जीवन शुरू करने लिए उत्साहित करने के अभिप्राय से उन्हें सिलाई—कढ़ाई तथा बनावटी गहनों को बनाना सिखाते हैं। यह 6 à¤¸à¥‡ 9 à¤®à¤¾à¤¹ का प्रशिक्षण कार्यक्रम है। हमारा केन्द्र महिलाओं को आत्म—निर्भर बना कर समाज में सम्मान पूर्वक जीने का अवसर प्रदान कर रहा है।

एक दूसरा प्रशिक्षण केन्द्र गोशपुकुर, à¤•à¤¾à¤¨à¥à¤¤à¤¿à¤µà¤¿à¤Ÿà¤¾ गांव में स्थित है जो कि सिलीगुड़ी शहर से 25 à¤•à¤¿.मी. की दूरी पर है। यहां चाय के बागानों में काम करने वाली श्रमिक महिलाओं के मध्य यह प्रशिक्षण केन्द्र संचालित है। चाय के बागानों में रोजगार अधिकांश अस्थायी होता है। ऐसे में इन महिलाओं के सामने हमेशा यौन शोषण का खतरा मण्डराता रहता है।

यहां महिलाओं को आत्मनिर्भर बनने के लिए ये प्रशिक्षण दिए जाते हैं। यहां महिलाएं, à¤®à¤¹à¤¿à¤²à¤¾à¤“ं के विभिन्न वस्त्रों की सिलाई के अलावा बनावटी गहनों को बनाने का काम सीखती हैं।
